Cedar Garden Pergola built in Loveland Colorado by Esh Construction
This pergola was built for the purpose of providing partial shade for the plants beneath and to allow vines to attach and grow over the pergola rafters.
The 4×4 cedar posts were installed 2ft-3ft below grade and set in concrete. The center posts of the pergola were off set for aesthetic purposes.
Originally there were two large aspen trees that were uprooted in a strong wind storm. The small cedar pergola was a great replacement and fit nicely in the existing landscape.
A free sketchup drawing of the pergola was provided by Esh Construction and submitted to the HOA and approved prior to starting the project. The pergola was within size limitations allowing it to be built without requiring a city building permit.
